Richard Denning has more than 30 years of senior management experience across an unusually diverse set of leadership roles, including sales force management, organizational design, leadership development, and several positions as a senior executive with P&L responsibility. As a Consultant and Executive Coach, he focuses on helping corporations evaluate, design, and implement their business strategies.
At their root, most problems are “people” problems. This is why Richard specializes in helping organizations improve results by focusing on their leaders. He has a broad background in human capital development and holds the RLC certification for Corporate and Executive Coaching. In this role, he has worked with hundreds of senior executives and mid-level management teams to help them meet critical business objectives.
An excellent facilitator and communicator, Richard has led corporate and divisional strategic planning initiatives, off-site retreats, and large-scale change initiatives. He brings a wealth of experience from his various roles at companies ranging from small businesses to large multi-national corporations. Working with organizations to evaluate strategy options, assess competing priorities, and ensure successful execution, Richard has been instrumental in helping to generate new thinking and new ideas, while improving upon those strategy components that are working successfully.
Richard has successfully led corporations through culture change initiatives, including culture audits and grass roots implementation programs. He is also experienced in union and non-union environments, along with the cultural adaptations that are required to operate in each of them.
Prior to entering the consulting field, Richard served as Corporate Vice President of Human Resources for a multi-national firm. He has also held
several P&L responsible positions in Operations, including President of an 800 employee division spanning multiple states on the West Coast, and President of a firm headquartered in the Midwest. Utilizing his Engineering degree, he began his career with a number of manufacturing related roles including General Plant Manager and Chief Industrial Engineer.
